Our Churches

Malborough

St Peter’s and All Saints Church with foundations dating back to 1170 is our oldest building within the Parish. This is the largest stone building in the locality and is referred to Cathedral of the South Hams. It has a very active congregation who are deeply engaged in the local community. Inside this place of worship are beautiful victorian pews, stunning stain glass panels, and a particularly ornate choir screen. The church was reordered in 2015 with a meeting room, community space, upstairs gallery, kitchen and toilets.

Holy Trinity Church, Salcombe

Consecrated in 1843 Holy Trinity Church at Salcombe continues to be the spiritual beating heart of the town with a vibrant congregation which serves the community with joy. The interior of the church was stunningly reordered in 2009 to include new facilities, an upstairs gallery, kitchen, toilets and office.

Holy Trinity Church, Galmpton

Holy Trinity Galmpton is just over 150 years old and is a quaint rural church at the end of the village. Walkers will know it well as part of the famous coastal path which goes right down to Lands End and then north Devon. With new facilities and a wild flower garden this is an ideal place for groups to use for away days and day retreats. Inside the local icon writing group has included a number of new icons including two panels from the life of Christ. Parking and toilet facilities are on the grounds.

Hope Cove

Up on the hill St Clement’s Church in Hope Cove is a tiny building open all year around. Currently there is no Sunday worship here but it is used for special occasions and weddings.
